Don’t underestimate …
Don’t underestimate this bike. I have a Raven colored one and had it up to 110 MPH. It didn’t feel like it was working hard at all! It’s the smoothest and quietest bike i ever had; and it has Enough power. Comfortable too.

I have fz6, its cool bike, i wouldnt compare it to an r6 or sportsbike because its basically a streetfighter bike so its in its own class kinda.

yea you should upgrade the 250 isent the best on highways and keeping up with the rest of the guys might be a problem even tho some of them are also riding 250′s

Don’t get the FZ6….. If you wanna really go for an upgrade get the r6…
ALSO, if u r going for a upgrade? Why didnt u just get the bike u really wanted instead of wasting 4k on a 250… then having to trade it in for less money, and then re buying another bike?

FZ6R is not an …
FZ6R is not an upgrade for the FZ6. They are diff. in their own right. The R6 has 5,000 RPM more compare to the FZ6R.

That new Yamaha …
That new Yamaha kinda looks like a Gsxr from the front, especially the headlight! looks pretty cool though, i just dont like the more upright riding style though, but to each its own! good luck on buying a new bike though and goodluck on the trip also!

Have you looked at the R6S (03-05 model r6 carried on through 09) I honestly think its the best deal out there next to the ZZR.
