How do I change my brake pads to a 93' Mercury Sable?
How To Change Brake Pads May 16th, 2009I'm trying to change my Brake Pads, but I have NO IDEA what I'm doing.
It takes a special star socket, maybe you better take it to a mechanic, but if you insist, get a repair manual at Pepboys or other store 
Please can someone tell me how to change brake pads on a mercedes A class.?

i suggest you get a Haynes or Chiltons manual. it will save you a lot of headache in the long run, plus it gives you details you can't get here

If you have no idea what you are doing then dont touch it. Take it to the shop. You do realize that the brakes are what stop your car from going into a tree right???? If you want to learn how to do it you get a friend to come over and show you how its done. But do not im telling you do not hold on let me rephrase that DO NOT touch them no matter what you read online or out of some book. Cause your instructions will tell you what you need to know but will not tell you what to look for if other stuff is messed up

if you want them done you should go to a professional because if you do them and something goes wrong you will end up paying more. when you do get them done make sure you do the front brake and the back one done.

Remove the wheel, then the 2 bolts holding the caliper to the bracket, remove outer pad, use a c-clamp press piston back in remembering to open master cylinder cap. when piston is allthe way back in u put in all the new parts and remember to put all anti rattle clips and hardware back in as b4
