Should I use ceramic or semi-metallic brake pads on a Chevy Cavalier?
Ceramic Brake pads August 1st, 2009Which type should I use on a 1995 Chevy Cavalier? I don’t want to wear out the rotors or anything. I don’t know what the OEM is.
The other answers made me respond. If you have aluminum wheels I would recommend Ceramic because they do not leave the dirty brake dust. However, semi metallic was original to save a dollar or two per car.

Semi are stock. The ceramic aren’t, but work better and more expensive.

Ceramic pads!!! Have you ever seen the front wheels of a car that were almost black with dust. Thats what a semi mettalic pad will do.

Use the cheaper semi-metallic. You can hose any dust off.
