I never did the VF mounts, always meant to though. It makes a substantial difference as many friends I have on forums have told me. It stabilizes the rocking of the engine, therefore adding to the stability of the car during launches and spirited twisty road driving. I’d say do it!

Yeah, I think the sound would be nearly identical, and the AT exhaust is a nice choice. Very throaty, but not too loud, unless you are at higher RPM’s and if you are driving like that you want to hear it right?!

Sorry this is such a tardy response. Good questions for sure. Most CAI’s for the A3 require removal/modification or replacement of the engine cover. This video is when I had the Carbonio which just wasn’t that great. The AEM is an awesome piece and the sound is beautiful. I removed the engine cover completely for the AEM piece.

very nice a3, have the exact same except no bose system and its stock for now. was the aem cai bolted right on w/o having to remove the engine cover or is it built to fit with it? I know carbonio makes one that allows the cover to stay, but others like neuspeed require a new engine cover
